Strategic Issues Summit - 3/7/19
Off the back of last year's successful SUMMIT, we are pleased to confirm it's on again at the Queensland Cricketers Club with a revised format that is more inclusive from both a group and individuals' perspective. There are many issues/opportunities to workshop, and it's on that basis we invite your input.
Please join us and contribute at this year’s community club - Strategic Issues Summit
Wednesday, 3 July 2019
Queensland Cricketers Club
9.30AM – 3PM (includes a working lunch)
Friday, 21 June 2019
Three key areas of discussion will be centered around:
What is the appetite of the club industry to assist the government in making available up to 2400 EGM entitlements for the two casino projects (1600 for the Gold Coast and up to 800 for Cairns) and what will this ‘cost’?
Industry sustainability - given the challenges currently being faced by the club industry, how can these two casino projects that the government is very keen to progress be a catalyst for the government to support industry reform for sustainability, and what does this reform look like?
Some ‘specifics’ around the existing 9 key legislative points.
*Speakers and program running order to be released soon*
Why you should attend?
Feedback from industry is invaluable, given you’re at the coalface ‘day in’ / ‘day out’. This knowledge is important in understanding the issues and then together crafting future outcomes. More importantly, this is our industry and we all have a responsibility to drive it and create a better future for it. Communities depend on us to keep our clubs strong and sustainable. Through this summit, you have an opportunity to contribute and be a part of leading change.
This workshop is open to all community clubs and industry stakeholders that have an interest in legislative and operational outcomes to ensure currency and relevancy for the community club offer.
Limited to 1 person per club or industry stakeholder
Audience participation is highly encouraged and extensive workshop sessions will be facilitated
