Workplace Relations
Industrial disputes can pop up from time to time and can prove to be a costly exercise. The current cost of private advice and advocacy can run into thousands of dollars per day for any particular query.

Being a Clubs Queensland member club, you have access to the benefits of the Clubs Queensland Workplace Relations Fund which acts as an indispensable and inexpensive insurance against such costs.

Our experienced team of industrial advocates and human resources professionals are acutely aware of the problems facing our industry including the various stakeholders involved in industrial disputation.

Accordingly, the professionalism and the knowledge of the Clubs Queensland Workplace Relations Team provide member clubs with a competitive advantage over law firms, not to mention the cost savings.

Workplace Relations services include:

  • providing a voice for the Club Industry including -

    • lobbying for further reform in industrial relations, WH&S and workers' compensation;

    • making representations to the Australian Industrial Relations Commission regarding Award Modernisation and the transition to modern awards; and

    • making submissions to Fair Work Australia on a range of other industrial relations policy matters e.g. national minimum wage levels and variations to modern awards;

  • HR and workplace relations advice and assistance e.g. arrears claims, representation in unfair dismissal applications and discrimination matters and negotiation of enterprise agreements.
