Gaming Nominee Training

Queensland's Office of Liquor & Gaming Regulation (OLGR) have legislated that from 31 December 2005 all new gaming nominees are to complete the Mandatory Gaming Nominee Course as part of their nominee application process.

The course expands on the legislative requirements of gaming nominees as per the Gaming Machine Act and will cover topics determined by OLGR such as:

  • Site set up;
  • Storage, acquisition and disposal;
  • Key controls;
  • Performance records and reconciliation reports;
  • Banking and float controls;
  • Monthly variance records;
  • Forms and processes with OLGR;
  • Gaming analysis; 
  • Computer-based accounting package; 
  • Site controllers; 
  • Gaming compliance;
  • Obligations of Gaming Nominee;
  • Taxes and levies paid;
  • End of financial year requirements;
  • Governance and committee responsibilities;
  • Internal training methodologies;
  • Licensing requirements;
  • Role of OLGR, QLD Gaming Commission and Licensed Monitoring Operators;
  • Gaming trading hours; and
  • Other gambling products

Course Inclusions:  Two day training, 9am - 5pm, catering, Gaming Nominee Manual, participants handouts, Certificate of Attendance, notification to OLGR upon successful completion.

Course Price:  $495 per person.
