Events
Clubs Queensland’s yearly events program is designed to excite, inform, educate and entertain.

In its many formats, the events program brings the clubs of Queensland together for a sharing of ideas, to celebrate achievements, discuss topical issues and to provide a networking platform for the thousands of companies and individuals that contribute to the community that is the club industry of Queensland.

The flagship of Clubs Queensland’s educational forums is the annual Hospitality and Gaming   Australasia Conference & Expo.  Held each year at either the state-of-the-art Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre or the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, it allows club directors, committee members, management, and staff the opportunity to come together for two days of education, training, and networking.  The largest club event of the year in Queensland, the HGA Conference and Expo is a must do for all involved in this dynamic industry.

In recognition of excellence for the management and operation of clubs across Queensland, and to encourage continuous improvement throughout the industry, the IGT & Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence program promotes competition throughout the state amongst member clubs that compete in a broad spectrum of award categories ranging from Club of the Year to the Best Small Club.

The program culminates in the IGT & Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner, held in conjunction with the Hospitality and Gaming Australasia Conference & Expo.  With more than 1000 guests in attendance, it’s an evening of celebration and enjoyment that is shared by clubs, VIP’s, Government, and industry supporters alike.

Another program that rewards excellence in clubs is the annual Annual 2010 Simplot Fonterra Chef's Table Finalist Dinner.  Since its inception in 2007, the Chef’s Table culinary competition is already displaying the foundations of becoming an iconic competition and award.  The competition challenges club chefs to create a 3-course innovative menu for just $18 per person.  As well as highlighting the fantastic cuisine available in clubs, Chef’s Table also provides a forum in which chefs and cooks can let their imaginations overflow with innovative and fresh ideas.

Heels of Steel recognises and supports the role of women within the clubs industry and provides opportunities to learn, build relationships, and be inspired in a friendly, supportive environment. Heels of Steel is an initiative of Clubs Queensland, the peak industry body representing not-for-profit, sporting and recreational clubs state wide.
