About Clubs
Queensland not-for-profit community clubs were established by members to pursue and promote their common interests and offer excellent services and facilities to members and patrons alike.  Community clubs exist to support the community and they do this through the supply of cash, labour, provision of facilities, and/or in-kind donations.

Community clubs provide members and patrons with affordable meals and drinks in restaurants, bistros and cafe’s, entertainment such as bingo, live music, poker machines, keno and much more.  Many community clubs host major life events like weddings, anniversaries, and birthday parties and are used regularly as meeting places for community groups, charity organisations and all manner of sporting events. Community clubs are also used as a base for operations in times of emergency during natural disasters such as bush fires and floods.

All surplus funds from gaming (poker machines), entertainment, beverages and meals, are used for the collective benefit of members and the community. Over and above that the Queensland community club industry also developed its very own charity organisation Clubs Smile for a Child in 2002.  Up until 2010 CSFAC raised nearly $2 million for various beneficiaries through the fundraising efforts of our community clubs.

In 2010 our community clubs continue raise funds for their chosen charities under the Clubs Smile for A Child umbrella.

Community clubs are not-for-profit, mutual organisations that make a unique and significant contribution to a better Queensland, every day!
